Google's AI beats grandmaster Lee Sedol in Go game!

Seoul: In a landmark moment for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Google's AlphaGo program has beaten human world champion for the third straight time on Saturday in Go, an ancient Chinese board game.

Google DeepMind's AlphaGo defeated Lee Sedol 3-0 in the five-game series, which is being held in Seoul, in South Korea.

Despite losing the series, the 18-time world champion will play the remaining games against Google's AI - Game Four, will be on Sunday, March 13, and the final game, Game Five, will be on Tuesday, March 15.

AlphaGo's triumph against Lee Sedol is a major milestone for AI research and crushed the pride of Go fans, who thought Go would be too complex for machines to master.

The AlphaGo system was developed by British computer company DeepMind which was bought by Google in 2014.
