Mumbai: Several parts of Maharashtra continue to reel under flood-like situation due to incessant rains for the past few days.
At most places, rivers are flowing above the danger mark, with water entering low-lying areas and fields.
Nashik, Kolhapur, parts of Konkan, Marathwada and Vidarbha regions are among the areas in the state reeling under the flood-like situation.
The MeT Department has predicted rains across the state for the next 24 hours.
Normal life was badly affected in most parts of Maharashtra due to continuous rains since last four days.
In Nanded district in Marathwada region, the city administration has issued alert to 50 villages near Penganga river as water has started flowing over the main bridge that connects Vidarbha with Marathwada. The administration said that if rains continued for another 24 hours, the flood-like situation is likely to arise.
Godavari and Aasana and other small rivers are already flowing above danger mark.

In rain-parched and drought-hit Latur, people are welcoming the rains but incessant rains has started flooding several parts of the adjoining low-lying areas.
In Satara district, heavy rains lashed the city and other towns in last 24 hours increasing the Koyna river water by 6 tmc while in Umroli dam water level rose by 2.5 tmc.
Besides Koyna, Kanher, Tarali and Mahu-Hatghekar dams too have seen increased water level.
Popular hill station Mahabaleshwar experienced 250 mm rainfall in last 24 hours.
