Couple killed in explosion in Madhya Pradesh

A couple was killed on Saturdau in a powerful explosion at their hut at Piparva village near here, police said.

Neemuch: A couple was killed on Saturdau in a powerful explosion at their hut at Piparva village near here, police said.

Udaram Bhil (40) and his wife Narmada (25), both labourers were blown to pieces in the explosion at their hut. We have sealed the area and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) have reached the spot from Ratlam district and have started investigations, District Superintendent of Police, Tarun Nayak told PTI.

Right now, we are clueless regarding the nature of explosive and the reason that caused the blast, he said.

All the top officials of the district are camping at the spot under Singoli police station some 80 kms from district headquarters.

We have registered a case and investigating into the matter, Nayak said.

On September 12, a massive explosion at Petlawad town in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh had left 89 dead and nearly 100 injured.
