Jammu and Kashmir govt officials sacked for alleged anti-national activities
Mehbooba Mufti administration has terminated the services of 12 Jammu and Kashmir government officials for "anti-national activities". The erring officials were allegedly involved in fuelling the unrest in the Valley.

Srinagar: Mehbooba Mufti administration has terminated the services of 12 Jammu and Kashmir government officials for "anti-national activities". The erring officials were allegedly involved in fuelling the unrest in the Valley.
The sacked officials were associated with education, water, revenue, food and supplies and forest departments of the state government.
An assistant registrar of Kashmir University has also been accused of playing a role in fuelling the unrest.
New Delhi has accused Pakistan of sponsoring the Kashmir unrest through various channels.
For over 100 days, the Valley has been witnessing un-ending violence, which was triggered by the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani in an encounter with security forces.
Burhan Wani, has been hailed by Pakistan government as a "martyr".
The unrest, which began a day after Wani was killed in an encounter in south Kashmir on July 8, has left 84 people, including two cops, dead and several thousand injured.
