Mumbai: A twitter user has this ingenious plan on how to make use of the black money, estimated to be a humongous sum, by the government.
He suggested instead of people destroying their unaccounted currency notes, they can actually deposit them in a welfare fund for the benefit of the soldiers.
And in return, the government would not initiate any action against them.
The user's (@indiantweeter) WhatsApp message on Twitter went viral with at least 184 re-tweets and 115 likes, the Mid Day reported.
He noted that since the rich people do not mind destroying their black money, as such incidents have already come to light, his plan might actually work.
He recommended opening of a bank account in the name of Indian Army where people can start depositing their black money there.
“Under this account, people should be given the chance to deposit any amount they want rather than lodging an enquiry or probe against them,” the report citing the message said.
The twitter user claims that this way the unaccounted money could be put to best use. And at the same time, the notes will not be destroyed.
Many Twitter handlers have liked the suggestion and are now sharing the message across so that it reaches the PM, the report said.
Though some people may have found the suggestion interesting, whether it will be an ethically right move is debatable.
