New Delhi: Renewing his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has dared the ruling BJP disposition to arrest Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and other party leader named as accused by an Italian court in the VVIP chopper bribery scam case.

The nexus between Gandhi family and Narendra Modi Ji is coming to light now. If they have guts they should arrest Sonia ji, Kejriwal was quoted as saying by ANI.

Attacking the BJP government, he said, “I would have been arrested if I was named by the Italian court in the chopper case. But no body is asking any question to Sonia Gandhi.''

Is this how investigation into sensitive matters is done, he further asked.

In a series of tweets yesterday, the AAP convener had said, "BJP will never do it. BJP will just do sloganeering for five years."

Kejriwal also questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "silence" on AgustaWestland chopper deal and wondered why CBI raids have not been conducted against Congress leaders in connection with the case.

Kejriwal asked whether those named in Italian court order should not be immediately arrested and interrogated.

"Why is the PM silent on Agusta? First BJP spared Robert Vadra, now protecting entire Congress top brass in Augusta?," the Delhi chief minister said on twitter, referring to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra.

In December last year, CBI had raided the office of Kejriwal's principal secretary Rajendra Kumar in connection with an alleged corruption case. Kejriwal had then accused the PM of getting CBI raid conducted at Delhi Secretariat.

The controversial deal to buy VVIP choppers and the alleged bribes paid in clinching it have triggered a political storm after an Italian court cited handwritten references to Sonia Gandhi, her political secretary Ahmed Patel and former air chief SP Tyagi by a middleman in a judgment that convicted the helicopter company's chief executive.
