New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan could land in a major trouble for his alleged hate speech against the Modi government.

A video, dating back to February 16, the AAP legislator from Okhla constituency is seen calling the Modi government as 'Haraam****' for - allegedly - wrongfully arresting Muslim cleric Maulana Mufti Abdus Sami Qasmi for anti-national activities.

In the video he also appealed the crowd to get united and gherao the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's house in New Delhi.

"If you people decide to gherao home minister's house...Delhi has a huge Muslim population. If you start doing it, then I can assure you that the government does not have that much courage to touch your children," said Amanatullah Khan.

"They (police) have no proof against Mufti Sami. I was told by police that he is involved in influencing youths to join anti-national forces. An atmosphere of terror is being created. All of you have to fight against it. I will very soon ask you to come and protest for the release of Sami and you have to come," added Khan.

Delhi-based Muslim cleric Maulana Mufti Abdus Sami Qasmi, about whom Khan is seen talking in the video, was arrested last month from Hardoi district in Uttar Pradesh. He is accused to be the ideologue of Indian caliphate, a mission taken up by the 15 ISIS suspects who were apprehended in the wake of Republic Day celebrations.
