Pakistani crew blow up boat after chase by Indian Coast Guard – another probable 26/11 averted

On the intersecting night of 31st Dec 2014 and 1st Jan 2015 a possible terror attempt was thwarted by the Indian Coast Guard, when it intercepted a suspicious Pakistani boat off the Porbander coast in Gujarat.  According to the defence ministry reports, the boat had Pak terrorists and Coast Guard spotted the vessel and chased it. A hot pursuit followed and it was intercepted after a long chase. The crew members when confronted set the boat on fire. The boat ultimately sank following an explosion.

Satyarthi shared the rare honour with the 17-year- old Malala Yousufzai of Pakistan. The youngest person to receive this award, Malala has earned worldwide praise as a champion of women's rights.
