Rajnath Singh meets CISF, NSG chiefs to review situation

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday held separate meetings with the chiefs of important central security forces including National Security Guard (NSG) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
Rajnath Singh met with CISF DG O.P. Singh and NSG DG Sudhir Pratap Singh, sources said.
The meetings were to ensure security in airports and various industrial units across the country.
The Home Minister also met R.K. Pachnanda, Director General of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and discussed about general preparedness.
Rajnath Singh is also likely to interact with top officials of other forces like Indo-Tibetan Border Police and Border Security Force.
In his North Block office, Rajnath Singh along with Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, other senior officials and intelligence agencies chiefs reviewed the overall security situation in the country and especially along the International Border in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Meanwhile, Rajnath Singh will also brief Prime Minister Narendra Modi at areview meeting on the situation at the LoC and the international border with Pakistan, sources said.
The Prime Minister will chair a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) later in the day.
