San Jose: The first Indian Prime Minister to visit Silicon Valley, Narendra Modi, has left the tech giants impressed and wanting for more.
Modi may have mastered the art of projecting a rock star-like aura whenever he interacts with the Indian diaspora but his appeal lies in his uncanny ability to mix business with pleasure – something very few world leaders manage to accomplish.

During his visit to the Silicon Valley, the Prime Minister was one moment discussing 'Digital India' with tech big daddies and the next moment he was watching the ghats of Varanasi via Google street view.
The search giant's new CEO Sundar Pichai was brimming ear-to-ear all through his interaction with Modi. Probably, he is still the small town Indian boy who made it big in life but continues to be rooted – his happiness at seeing a PM who has had a similar rise in life.

The story was very similar with Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook. The 32-year-old was visibly enjoying the Townhall meeting with Modi at Facebook HQ. Him asking Modi about his mother and the PM getting emotional talking about the difficulties she faced raising him up, added to the moment.
Mark also introduced his parents to Modi and they later met to exchange pleasantries - all this emotional connect left everyone touched.

PM Modi talked about the needed to strengthen the information highway (i-way) to develop India but it seems he has mastery over a far more potent weapon - the emotional highway (e-way).
Having walked into the hearts of his fellow countrymen in US last May, Narendra Modi surely knows its importance and potential.
