New Delhi: RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Friday launched a vicious attack on the BJP over arrest of Jawharlal Nehru University Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar for allegedly carrying out anti-national protests in the university campus.
Addressing the media at Patna airport, Lalu said that the BJP cannot teach lessons on patriotism to its ally PDP which overtly declares Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru as 'Martyr', but has arrested Kanhaiya.
“If charges of sedition have been levelled on Kanhaiya Kumar then why the same was not done to Amit Shah,” Jagran quoted him as saying.
Giving reference of Shah's rally during Bihar Assembly Elections, Lalu said, “Shah had said that if the grand alliance will win, there will be celebrations in Pakistan. For such remarks he should also have been charged with sedition.”
