Independence Day Special: Is this the man who betrayed Bhagat Singh?

New Delhi: Many articles are available on the internet on Bhagat Singh and his life. 

Out of all the stories about his life, most controversial and interesting is the one that talks about a person who allegedly betrayed Bhagat Singh. 

Reportedly, the name of this person is Sobha Singh. 

He is the man who allegedly as a witness in the Assembly Bomb Case during British rule in India, identified Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt after they threw bombs at the Delhi assembly in 1929.

What Sobha did actually?

Sobha Singh was a witness in the assembly bomb explosion incident on April 8, 1929. He identified Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt after they threw bombs at the Delhi assembly in 1929, according to Wikipedia.

Subsequently, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were sentenced to death for their role in the assassination of Saunders.

Who was Sobha?

Sobha Singh was a prominent builder of Lutyens' Delhi.

Sobha is the father of famous novelist, lawyer, journalist and politician Khushwant Singh.
