Brinda Karat slams RSS mouthpiece for attack on JNU

The CPI-M on Tuesday termed the RSS mouthpiece 'Panchajanya' calling the Jawaharlal Nehru University an "anti-national block".

Ranchi: The CPI-M on Tuesday termed the RSS mouthpiece 'Panchajanya' calling the Jawaharlal Nehru University an "anti-national block" as "a badge of honour for the JNU" as it came from an "anti-national" magazine.

"What 'Panchajanya' says can only be taken as a badge of honour for the JNU as it shows the institution of learning must be doing something right when anti-national magazine like 'Panchajanya' speaks about them in an absurd, ridiculous and derogatory language," party?s politburo member Brinda Karat told a press conference here.

"Everybody knows that the JNU is of the intellectual and questioning (kind) and it has a high reputation both in the country and abroad," Karat said.

She trashed yesterday's article carried by the magazine accusing the JNU of a "huge anti-national block which has the aim of disintegrating India."
