Bypoll results: BJP wins in Muzaffarnagar, Congress in Deoband; SP suffers setback
The Bharatiya Janata Party wrested the Muzaffarnagar seat from the ruling Samajwadi Party, which also lost the Deoband seat to the Congress.
- BJP candidate Narayan Tripathi is leading by 10,892 votes over his nearest Congress rival Manish Patel in Maihar Assembly by-poll in Madhya Pradesh's Satna district, the counting for which is underway.

- Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Kapil Dev Agrawal wins by-election in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district.
- Ruling CPI-M wins the Birganj Assembly by-election in Tripura's Gomati district, with party candidate Parimal Debnath trouncing his nearest rival BJP candidate by a margin of 10,597 votes.
- Samajwadi Party's Anand Sen Yadav wins Bikapur (Faizabad) seat.
- Harlakhi (Bihar) by-election counting: NDA candidate wins by around 18,000 votes.
- Congress candidate Mavia Ali wins Deoband (Uttar Pradeh) by-election by 3,400 votes.
- Shiv Sena candidate Amit Ghoda wins Palghar (Maharashtra) bypoll, defeating Congress nominee Rajendra Gavit by around 19,000 votes.
- Ruling Shiromani Akali Dal wins the by-poll to Khadoor Sahib Assembly seat, with party candidate Ravinder Singh Brahmpura defeating his nearest rival Independent candidate Bhupinder Singh by a margin of 65,664 votes.
- Ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) bags Narayankhed Assembly seat as its candidate Bhupal Reddy wins with a margin of 53,625 votes.
- The BJP is leading in both Muzaffarnagar and Deoband Assembly seats.
- Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Ravinder Singh Brahmpura is leading by over 54,000 votes after 13 rounds of counting in the Khadoor Sahib Assembly by-election in Punjab.

- Deodurga (Karnataka) by-poll counting: BJP candidate Shivana Gouda Naik is ahead by 4,893 votes.
- Hebbal (Karnataka) by-poll counting: BJP candidate YA Narayanaswamy is leading by 11,160 votes.
- Bidar (Karnataka) by-poll counting: Congress candidate Rahim Khan is ahead by 3,062 votes.
- Khadoor Sahib (Punjab) by-poll counting: Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Ravinder Singh Brahmpura is leading by 22,128 votes in fifth round.
- Counting of Harlakhi (Bihar) by-poll: RLSP candidate Sudhanshu Shekhar is leading by 2,600 votes
- Maihar (Madhya Pradesh) by-poll: In early trends, BJP's Narayan Tripathi is ahead of Congress' Manish Patel by more than 1,800 votes.
