New Delhi: The egg-shaped chocolate Kinder Surprise is loved by all kids around the world, primarily because of the toys it packages, which children find enticing.

Imagine a father's dilemma when he found a recreational drug in his son's Kinder egg.

Yes, the 5-year-old boy found something in his egg that didn't look very much like the toy that he expected. Puzzled, the boy innocently handed it over to his father.

On examining the powder-like substance, the father immediately alerted the police. Because, instead of a toy that the small plastic pouch was supposed to contain, he discovered methamphetamine or meth.

Wikipedia defines methamphetamine as a strong central nervous system (CNS) stimulant that is mainly used as a recreational drug and less commonly as a treatment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obesity.

Mashable.com quoted Inspector Colin Shaw as saying that, “The contents of the bag, which was found inside a toy egg, is believed to be meth amphetamine. This small quantity of drugs will be disposed of by police.”

“This incident is of the uppermost concern for all of us. Tackling the use and supply of illegal drugs is a priority for us and the possibility that something so potentially dangerous has been discarded where children could find it is deeply concerning," he said.

It is highly fortunate that the contents of the packet weren't consumed by the kid.
