Vellore: The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has announced dates for the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) 2016 for admission in various under-graduate programmes for the academic session 2016-2017.

The computer-based test will take place from April 06, 2016 to April 17, 2016.
Issue of VITEEE-2016 online and offline application forms will begin from November 27, 2015.
Those seeking to fill forms online must have the softcopy of recently taken passport size colour photograph with 50kb - 100kb (dimensions - 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) / softcopy of signature of the candidate with 20kb - 50kb (dimensions - 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm ) in JPG / JPEG format. Fee is to be paid through Internet banking facility.
Those who are not interested in filling the application online can get the form in selected head post offices.
The exam will be conducted in three sessions i.e. Session I, Session II and Session III. The timings for each session are: Session I: 9 am to 11:30 am, Session II: 12:30 pm to 3 pm, Session III: 4 pm to 6: 30 pm
Interested candidates should have completed Class 12, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50 percent for the SC/ST & North Eastern State.
Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2016 should have secured an aggregate of 60 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 01, 1994 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2016
