New York: Advocating bringing in positivity before the Paris conference on climate change, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday called for discussions on issues like lifestyle and climate justice.
He said all the countries needed to "respect differentiation" as a principle to deliver climate justice to the developing world.
"Some developed countries want to negate the whole set of principles of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change which is regrettable," he added.
He said the genesis of differentiation lay in the principle of historical responsibility, polluter pays and equity.
The crucial 21st session of the conference of the parties (CoP-21) on climate change is to be held in Paris from November 30 to December 11.
The conference needs to achieve a new international agreement on climate, applicable to all countries, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2 degrees Celsius.
