New Delhi: Union Environment, Forests and Climate Change Minister Prakash Javadekar said that he would make a statement on India's role in Paris Agreement in the parliament on Wednesday.

"We are satisfied with the agreement that has been signed in Paris. I will be making a statement regarding this tomorrow," Javadekar told IANS on the sidelines of 'Climate+Change Indian Himalayan Region: Our Mountains, Our Future' initiative launched here on Tuesday.

The landmark Paris Agreement on climate change was adopted on Saturday at the UN Climate Change Conference by 196 countries, committing them to curb global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius and outline a roadmap to raise $100 billion annually towards a green fund for developing nations.
