Will violate Odd-Even plan, take challan to protest against Kejriwal govt: BJP leader

New Delhi: Senior BJP leader Vijay Goel said he will violate the Odd-Even rule on Monday as a mark of protest against the Delhi government. Goel in his annuncement alleged that the Odd-Even plan launched by Delhi government in a way to ease pollution and traffic congestion is nothing but a publicity stunt by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

"Taxpayers' money is being spent every day on publicizing Kejriwal's photos. If he is so convinced about the scheme, then why spend crores of rupees on publicity and not implement it permanently at one go?" Goel, a Rajya Sabha MP, said in a statement.

The Delhi government's odd even scheme is all about "maximum publicity, minimum effect", he alleged.

Goel said that the taxpayers' money was not only being "misused" on "ridiculous" advertisements in Delhi, but also to "publicize" Kejriwal's image in other states for "political gains".

"AAP leaders are using their tax money for cheap publicity. AAP cannot fool people for long and eventually, they will realise that the city needs sustainable solutions to the problems of pollution and traffic congestion," he said.
