New Delhi: With just 21 days left before Delhiites will wake up to the odd-even approach to personal transport, citizens of the teeming metropolis and also of NCR cities have thousands of questions that they want clarity on from the Arvind Kejriwal government.
Question 1. While 'toxic' Delhi does require drastic steps to curb air pollution, has the government thought through the alternatives?
Question 2: The government is talking of strengthening public transport but isn't it going to be an after thought? What will happen on January 1? How will I reach office in an affordable manner?

Question 3: I work odd hours and my office is in Noida/Gurgaon, who will ensure my safety when I have to rely on public transport at that hour?
Question 4: I am a middle class man who sustains his family on tight budget, I can't afford public transport, especially the last mile connectivity. Shouldn't two-wheelers be exempted from the rule?
Question 5: Is the government ready with a plan to prevent overcharging by taxis/autos? Will it be left to the demand and supply way of looking at things?
While the majority of Delhiites zeenews.com spoke to are certain that steps to tackle pollution are welcome, the 'aam aadmi' also expects their government to enforce it in a well thought through manner. Most importantly, they expect Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to also be sensitive to any adverse pressure the odd-even rule may put on their monthly budget.
After all, going to work everyday is no leisure its a necessity... a safe and affordable public transport till the last mile is what Delhi feels it needs.
