Kapil Sibal, who has fought some of the toughest legal cases in the country and served as former Union minister, has revealed the 'romantic' side of his multi-faced personality.
Mumbai: Kapil Sibal, who has fought toughest legal cases in the country and served as former Union minister in the Congress-led UPA government, has revealed the 'romantic' side of his multi-faced personality.
The noted criminal lawyer, who has penned the song “Tere bina” and “Mast hawa” for the forthcoming film “Shorgul”, has claimed that he “truly belongs to the romantic genre”.
The track “Mast hawa”, which features actress Hrishita Bhatt and actor Jimmy Sheirgill in the video, has been crooned by Pratibha Singh Baghel and will be the curtain raiser of the film, according to reports.
“I truly belong to the romantic genre and this song is not really an item number, but to my mind it's more upbeat and youthful than the last lyrics I composed for 'Shorgul'. I always like to experiment with my writing style and I hope audiences can relate to my fun side through this song,” Sibal said.
Originally Sibal had penned a Qawwali titled “Tu hi tu” for "Shorgul", but while working with zitar maestro Niladri Kumar on another project, Sibal decided to pen “Tere bina” as a promotional track for the socio-political movie, followed by “Mast Hawa”.
