New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal, known for his tough anti-corruption stance, on Friday sacked a minister in the Delhi government over corruption charges.

According to reports, Kejriwal sacked Food and Civil Supplies Minister Asim Ahmed Khan over corruption charges while addressing a live press conference here. Speaking to reporters, the AAP chief said, “We had received a complaint, assessed it and have decided to remove Asim Ahmed from the Cabinet.”

The complainant has sent us a one hour long audio clip, I and Manish Sisodia listened to that audio clip, we did preliminary assessment of that and prima facie found it to be of serious nature, Kejriwal told reporters.
