Delhi Assembly Speaker calls Special Commissioner over MLAs getting struck in jam

Niwas Goel said that the Special Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) has assured that such problem will not occur in future.

New Delhi: Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel on Monday called Special Commissioner (Law & Order) Deepak Mishra at his office over several MLAs getting stuck in a massive traffic jam on October 20 due to several protests.

Informing the House about his meeting with Mishra, Goel said that he appraised him about the problem faced by some of MLAs as they could not reach the Assembly on time due to diversion of traffic last Friday.

Goel said that the Special Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) has assured that such problem will not occur in future.

The Speaker also said in the meeting, he also discussed the issue of alleged attack on AAP MLAs Amanatullah Khan and Sarita Singh.

Asked about the meeting, Mishra confirmed that the meeting was related to traffic jam.
