Cylinder blast leaves 3 dead, 11 injured in New Delhi

Injured are being treated in hospitals.

New Delhi: At least three died and 11 have been injured after a gas cylinder blasted in a building in Gandhi Nagar area of Delhi.

"The incident took place around 6:15 in the evening today, according to primary investigation the blast took place while cooking in the first floor of the building.

“The people living in that house got injured and then the pieces of that blast got stuck in the air conditioner of another house which caused one more blast. Three people have died and around 11 persons have got injured," said Rishi Pal DCP, East.

Injured are being treated in hospitals.

Meanwhile, another cylinder blast was reported from Delhi's sunlight colony, where the details of causalities are awaited.
