Ranchi: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi on Wednesday alleged that the BJP-led NDA regime's one year in office was marked by "poaching MLAs from our Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik-JVM)".

"The BJP/Ajsu party got 42 MLAs in the assembly elections, a year back. Then they took away six of our MLAs, violating the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution," Marandi told a press conference here.

"This was their wrong beginning," Marandi, president of the JVM alleged. Countering Chief Minister Raghubar Das' December 28 'report card' on the state government's one year performance,

Marandi stated that the rule was filled with "deteriorating law and order situation, laxity in the distribution of ration cards and corruption at a colliery project."
