Patna: Janata Dal United MLC on Monday claimed that her son Rakesh Ranjan Yadav alias Rocky, who has been accused of killing a teen, was being framed in the Gaya road rage case and alleged a political conspiracy in the matter.

"There is a political conspiracy to defame us. My son Rocky is being targetted in the Gaya road rage case. He is not absconding and will present himself before the police soon," she said.

Adding further, she said, "I want a fair investigation in the case. Guilty is guilty, law will take its course. If my son is guilty, he should be punished."

Aditya, a teenaged son of a Gaya-based businessman, was allegedly shot dead on Saturday night by Rocky on the Bodh Gaya-Gaya road in an apparent case of road rage. According to reports, Rocky's father Bindi Yadav, a JD(U) leader, and his bodyguard was with him at the time of the incident.

One of the deceased's friend, who was with him at the place of the incident, told the police that soon after they overtook the SUV, Rocky and the guard started firing in the air to stop them.

As per the reports, Rocky, who was on the driving seat of the Land Rover, was apparently irked with the teenager for overtaking his SUV and wanted to teach Aditya a lesson.

While the police arrested accused's father Bindi Yadav from his home and seized the SUV used in the incident, Rocky continues to be on the run.

A court in Bihar’s Gaya district Monday remanded Bindeshwari Prasad Yadav alias Bindi Yadav and his wife JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi’s bodyguard Rajesh Kumar to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the murder case of 19-year-old Aditya Sachdeva.

On Monday, Rajesh Ranjan (Pappu) Yadav, who is an expelled member of RJD and Bihar MP, expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar. MP also accused CM Nitish of giving tickets to mafias and asked him to submit his resignation over the recent road rage case.
