Hyderabad: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday expressed confidence in the NDA Government`s chances ahead of the Bihar polls saying that the people of Bihar have already made up their mind to vote for development in the state.

"The Bihar Assembly polls is based on `vikas`(development) or `vinash`(destruction). Bihar has seen enough destruction under Lalu Prasad Yadav`s rule. And now when the Congress and Nitish Kumar are with Lalu, there cannot be development," Naidu told the media here.

"People have already seen development under the Narendra Modi-led Government at the Centre. People are seeing the development in BJP-ruled states like Goa, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh. That`s why I am confident that the people of Bihar will vote on the agenda of development and NDA will form the next government in the state," Naidu added.

The term of the 243-member Bihar Assembly comes to an end on November 29.

The polls in the state will begin on October 12 and conclude on November 5. Counting of votes will take place on November 8.
