Patna: In an awkward moment, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday chose to travel by a city bus in Patna, but on realising that he had no money to buy ticket, he borrowed Rs 5 from a bureaucrat.
After flagging off a fleet of City Buses in Patna, Kumar stepped into a bus to see the interiors. He took a seat in the moving bus and the woman conductor promptly handed him a ticket and asked for Rs. 5 - the fare for his journey from Gandhi Maidan to Patna station, states an NDTV report.
Kumar then searched his pocket, but found no money. Later, he asked a senior bureaucrat, who was accompanying him in the bus, to lend him Rs 5.
Amrit Lal Meena, Principal Secretary of the Urban Development Department, paid Rs. 5 for Mr Kumar's ticket.
