Riyadh: The Saudi Arabian air defence on Wednesday intercepted two ballistic missiles fired from Yemen.
The commander of the Arab coalition said in a statement that the air defence destroyed the base, from which the two missiles were launched aimed at the Saudi Arabian region of Jizan, EFE news reported.
The Shia Houthi rebel movement often fires projectiles against Saudi areas near the border, mainly Jizan and Najran.
The Arab coalition in March 2015 began a military offensive against the Houthis, in support of Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.
