Day after murdering Mumbai model, accused posted photo online with caption 'Never miss party'

MUMBAI: A day after murdering 20-year-old aspiring model Mansi Dixit, accused Syed Muzzammil Hasan posted his own photo on Instagram with caption 'Never miss a party'. 

“Never miss a party...good for the nerves--like celery,” he wrote.

Dixit's body was found inside a travelling bag from bank road, near at Mindspace, a commercial hub in Malad (West). An aspiring model from Rajasthan, the victim had moved from Kota, Rajasthan, to pursue her dream of modelling in the maximum city. She was involved in other business ventures such as event management, designing, etc alongside. Her office was situated next to the Infinity Mall in Andheri. 

In her last Instagram post, Dixit wrote, "Lord... Give me patience, because if you give me strength I’m going to kill someone with it!"

Nineteen-year-old Muzzamil was arrested on Tuesday for the crime and sent to judicial custody till October 22. 

Earlier, the accused claimed that the duo studied together in college but later reportedly changed his statement that they met on social media. 

The accused is constantly changing his stance on the matter, said the police, adding that the murder motive is yet to be established. 

On Sunday, Muzammil had called the model to his flat. Within minutes of their meeting, the duo had a heated argument. 

A scuffle followed, after which the accused killed Mansi with a heavy object. He then stuffed the dead body in a travel bag and booked an Ola to Mumbai international airport. 

Midway, he asked the driver to take the back road of Mindspace in Malad West, which is reportedly isolated. He got off near Mindspace, after telling the driver he needs to cover the rest of the distance on the rickshaw. The accused then allegedly dumped the bag near a bush and took a rickshaw to return home. 

After some time, the Ola driver who happened to drive through the same road spotted the bag. He immediately alerted police and the accused was held within four hours.
