BJP leader Shaina NC files FIR over being 'stalked'

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shaina NC on Friday alleged that she has being stalked and that she has filed an FIR with the Mumbai Police in the same.

"I have been receiving lewd messages for a while now. For any woman who values herself respect and dignity, she would have done exactly what I did. So I took a courageous decision to register an FIR with the cyber crime and I must say that the police and commissioner of police have been supportive," Shaina NC told ANI.

Further speaking on the issue Shaina stated that women should speak up when harassed be it while travelling, work place or at home.

"It`s high time that women speak up when harassed be it while travelling, work place or at home so that men who think they can give a try and get away with it easily will realise that there is law," added Shaina.

Shaina further noted that the cyber crime department has assured the culprits will be nabbed soon.

Meanwhile, taking to Twitter, the BJP spokesperson has been responding to the messages pouring in to support her.
