New Delhi: Xiaomi India will be giving back Rs 500 crore to the Mi Fan community in the country.
The offer will come in the form of Rs 1,000 discount on Xiaomi's latest smartphone –Redmi 5A.
"We strongly believe that the best of technology should be made accessible to as many people as possible, because technology can improve lives," Xiaomi Vice President and India Managing Director Manu Jain said.
He has tweeted:

Xiaomi yesterday unveiled the Redmi 5A which is the most affordable smartphone in its portfolio in India.
The device will be available in two versions –2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage.
Xiaomi is offering an additional discount of Rs 1,000 for the first five million customers who choose the 2GB RAM/16GB ROM variant, effectively bringing down its price to Rs 4,999.
The smartphone also comes in a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage version that will retail at Rs 6,999.
The 'Made in India' handset features 5-inch display, 1.4GHz quadcore Qualcomm processor, 5MP front and 13MP rear camera and 3,000 mAh battery.
The Redmi 5A will be available from December 7 across Flipkart, Mi.Com, and Mi Home stores, followed by offline retailers including Mi Preferred Partners in the subsequent weeks.
