$99 Superbook will turn your smartphone into laptop

New York: What if you do not need to buy a new smartphone at all? The team at Andronium has raised $2,125,186 on crowdsourcing platform Kickstarter to build the world`s cheapest $99 Superbook that transforms your smartphone into a laptop.

Simply dock your Android smartphone via the USB Type-C or microUSB port to the chassis that contains a screen, keyboard, trackpad and battery.

The Superbook offers an 11.6-inch, 1366 x 768 LCD panel what appears to be a full-size keyboard and a multi-touch touchpad.

There`s also a built-in battery that last eight hours (that also acts as a smartphone charger), laptopmag.com reported on Monday.

Android OS has nearly 70 per cent of the world`s market share and has the largest app stores with 2.2 million apps.

According to iTWire.com, the Superbook can do everything a smartphone can and if it has enough graphics, Superbook can play games too.

The Superbook has Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and 1GB of RAM.
