Mahatma Gandhi's bust set on fire in MP's Morena, case registered

Morena: Some unidentified persons on Tuesday set Mahatma Gandhi's bust on fire in Madhya Pradesh's Morena district. 

According to ANI, Mahatma Gandhi's statue, which was damaged due to fire, is located in Joura's Gandhi Park in Morena.

The Morena police have registered a case against unidentified people under section 295 of the Indian Penal Code and launched a hunt for the culprits. 

Unfortunately, the incident was reported on the day when the nation is celebrating the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.  

Under IPC Section 295 a person shall be punishable with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both for injuring or defiling place of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class.
