Lohardaga Lok Sabha Constituency, is one of 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in the eastern state of Jharkhand and cast its vote in the 2019 election on April 29.

Lohardaga registered 66.23 per cent voter turnout in 2019, a gain of 8.05 per cent. The total number of electors in the constituency is 1227606 while the total voter turnout is 813040. While in 2014, the constituency registered 58.18 per cent voter turnout. The total number of electors in the constituency was 1119483 while the total voter's turnout was 651298.

 

Dinesh Oraon of All India Trinamool Congress, Sharvan Kumar Panna of Bahujan Samaj Party, Sukhdeo Bhagat of Indian National Congress and Sudarshan Bhagat of Bharatiya Janata Party are a few prominent candidates contesting for general elections 2019 from Lohardaga Lok Sabha Constituency of Jharkhand. 

Votings for Lok Sabha election happened in 4 phases in Jharkhand – April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19 and the counting will be held on May 23.

Lohardaga constituency covers six assembly segments – Mandar, Sisai, Gumla, Bishnupur and Lohardaga. This constituency is reserved for the members belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Sudarshan Bhagat of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) – won by getting a huge margin of just over 6 thousand votes. He had defeated Rameshwar Oraon, an Independent. Bhagat had secured 226666 votes while Oraon got 220177 votes.
