Hajipur is one of the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar and will cast its vote in the 2019 election on May 6.

Hajipur registered 55.22 percent voter turnout in Lok Sabha Election 2019, a gain of 1.12 percent from 2014. The total number of electors in the constituency is 1818209 while 1004088 came out to exercise their franchise. While in 2014, the constituency registered 54.10 percent voter turnout. The total number of electors in the constituency was 1647369 while 891160 voted.

Umesh Das of Bahujan Samaj Party, Dasai Chaudhary of Nationalist Congress Party and Shiv Chandra Ram of Rashtriya Janata Dal are some of the prominent names that will contest the Lok Sabha election 2019 from Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar.

In the 2014 election, Lok Janshakti Party leader Ramvilas Paswan won from the seat defeating Congress candidate Sanjeev Prasad Toni by a margin of 225500 votes.
