At least 68% voter turnout recorded till 5 pm as polling for the 69 Vidhan Sabha seats in the hill state of Uttarakhand came to end today.

Dehradun: Amid tight security, polling for the 69 Vidhan Sabha seats in Uttarakhand came to end on Wednesday. 

At least 68% voter turnout was recorded till 5:00 pm in the single-phase Uttarakhand assembly elections. 

Earlier in the day, polling in Karnprayag was suspended due to the death of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate.

Voting will now be held on this seat on March 9, an Election Commission official told media.
