The upcoming elections are crucial for Assam, says PM. 

One of the good ministers of our government is having to leave us because he will serve Assam, the PM says.

But this is surely going to benefit Assam. There is one wave in Assam, one Anand in Assam and that is 'Sarbanand', PM adds.

PM Modi is all set to begin the BJP campaign in Assam with a jam packed schedules of four rallies in Tinsukia, Majuli, Bihpuria, Bokakhat and a meeting with locals at Jorhat.

Assam will have two-phased polling for the 126 Assembly seats. The first phase will be held on April 4 and the second phase will be held on April 11.

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday released party's 'vision document' for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections.

The BJP Assam Vision Document 2016-2025 promised to work closely with the Centre for "complete sealing of the Indo-Bangladesh border in the state" if it was voted to power.
