Following the Punjab and Haryana High Court's interim stay on the Jat reservation quota, Akhil Bharatiya Jat Aarakshan Samiti will launch a statewide 'Jat Nyay rally' in Haryana from Sunday. Heavy security has been deployed in various districts. Here are all the LIVE updates:-

Reports said the agitators, who have started their agitation in rural areas instead of towns this time, had begun their protest rally at Mayyar village in Hisar district, Dhanana village in Bhiwani district, Jasia village in Rohtak district, Jhanj Khurd village in Jind district, Matloda village in Panipat district and Pranpura Bawal village in Rewari district .

The Haryana Cabinet had on March 28 approved the amendments in the Haryana Backward Classes (Reservation in Services and Admission in Educational Institutions) Bill, which enlists Jats, Bishnois, Tyagis, and Rors in the recently sculpted Backward Classes (C) category, making them eligible for 10 per cent reservation in classes 3 and 4 posts, and six percent reservation in classes 1 and 2 jobs.

Akhil Bhartiya Jat Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti (ABJASS) members and their national president Yashpal Malik earlier on May 29 said that the association will hold peaceful protest, but if the police retaliates or tries to stop them using violence, then the protesters would take a call on their own.
