However, the five-time BJP MP had once cried bitterly in Parliament after he had been jailed for 11 days by the Mulayam government in 2007.
Yogi Adityanath had broken down in the Lok Sabha when the then Speaker Somnath Chatterjee had asked him to speak.
Talking about ‘political conspiracy’, he had said that if the House couldn’t protect him he would quit.
Yogi Adityanath took over as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday and heads a 47-member Council of Ministers, including two deputy CMs.
The BJP led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi won a landslide victory in the Hindi heartland on March 11 winning 325 seats along with its allies.
