Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election Results 2022: Samajwadi Party Leads in 100+ seats
Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party is leading in 103 seats in Uttar Pradesh while BJP is leading 270 seats.

New Delhi: The intial trends of the counting for Assembly elections 2022 show that Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party is leading in 103 seats in Uttar Pradesh. SP party chief Akhilesh Yadav himself is leading in his home constituency Karhal with a margin of 13877 votes. Union minister and BJP candidate SP Baghel is trailing SP leader.
According to ECI's website, Yadav has secured 25263 votes so far while his nearest rival Union Minister SP Singh Baghel has got 8955 votes.
Meanwhile, as per the current trends UP CM Yogi Adityanath is leading in his home constituency Gorakhpur and BJP is overall leading in 270 seats in Uttar Pradesh.
Counting of votes for the 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh began on Thursday morning with three-layer security in place and cameras installed at all counting centres. In the initial rounds, postal ballots were counted.
