New Delhi: Indian Army's Director General of Military Operations Lt General AK Bhatt on Tuesday talked to his Pakistan counterpart on the hotline and raised concerns over mutilation of two Indian security personnel by Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) force.
The Lt General conveyed to his Pakistani counterpart that such dastardly and inhuman act was beyond any norm of civility and merits unequivocal condemnation and response.
India's strong response comes a day after the Pakistan Army killed an Indian soldier and a BSF trooper and mutilated their bodies near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Indian Army has vowed an "appropriate" response to the "despicable act", which significantly took place a day after Pakistan Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa visited some areas along the LoC and promised support to the Kashmiris.
