New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben, on Wednesday (December 28), was admitted to UN Mehta hospital in Ahmedabad as per news reports. Heeraben who turned 100 years old this year has faced health issues. As per reports, PM Modi's mother was taken to the hospital after her health deteriorated. The hospital released an official statement on the PM's mother's health status and said that her condition is stable. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and the state health minister have reached the hospital.

PM Modi had earlier met her at her residence in Gandhinagar after he campaigned for the Gujarat Assembly elections. He had visited her to seek her blessings before the polling days.

PM Modi's brother Prahlad Modi injured in car accident on Tuesday

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's younger brother Prahlad Modi got injured in a car accident on Tuesday. According to reports, he was traveling to Bandipur along with his son, daughter-in-law, and grandson when his Mercedes Benz car hit the divider near Mysuru, Karnataka. 

Prahlad Modi along with his family have been admitted to JSS Hospital for treatment, however, it is said that they sustained minor injuries and are currently safe. The 70-year-old Prahlad Damodar Das Modi suffered an injury on his chin. His son Mehul Prahlad Modi (40), daughter-in-law Jinal Modi and six-year-old grandson Menat Mehul Modi, and the driver Satyanarayana were also injured. They are likely to be discharged from the JSS Hospital here on Thursday, sources said on Wednesday.

The hospital sources said that information on the health conditions of the injured persons was being given to the Prime Minister`s Office on a daily basis.
