Lucknow: A Muslim lady on Monday reached UP CM Yogi Adityanath's 'Janta Darbar'.

The lady - Sabreen - said that after harassing her since marriage, her husband gave her talaq on phone. 

"I hope CM gives me justice," Sabreen said at the UP CM's Janta Darbar.

By means of 'Janta Darbar', UP CM Yogi Adityanath's listens to public grievances and tries to give solutions to people's problems.

Triple Talaq has been making news for the past few months after the movement against the divorce process in Islam gained momentum.

The Supreme Court has set May 11-19 as the timeline to conclude hearings on the legality of triple talaq.

Triple talaq has potentially severe socio-political implications. 

The court said it would hold daily sittings between May 11 and May 19 to decide pleas by Muslim women to declare the practice of oral talaq illegal.
