Maharashtra’s newly-formed Mahayuti government expanded its cabinet ministry on Sunday, with key leaders taking oath at a ceremony at Raj Bhawan in Nagpur. Among those sworn in were BJP state chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, BJP leaders Ganesh Naik and Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Dhananjay Munde and Shiv Sena leader Gulabrao Patil.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar were also present during the oath-taking ceremony at Raj Bhawan in Nagpur.

Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule took oath as Cabinet Minister in the state government at Raj Bhavan in Nagpur along with BJP's Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Chandrakant Patil, Girish Mahajan, Ganesh Naik, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Jaykumar Rawal, Pankaja Munde, Atul Save, Ashok Ramaji Wooike, Ashish Shelar, Shivendra Raje Bhosale, Jaykumar Gore, Sanjay Savkare, Nitesh Rane, Akash Pandurang Fundkar, Madhuri Misal, Meghana Bordikar and Pankaj Bhoyar.

NCP leader Hasan Mushrif, Dhananjay Munde, Aditi Tatkare, Narhari Zirwal, Dattatray Bharne, Makarand Patil, Babasaheb Patil, Indraneel Naik and Manikrao Kokate took oath today as Cabinet Ministers in the state government, while Shiv Sena 11 leaders, including Uday Samant, Dada Bhuse, Sambhuraj Desai, Sanjay Rathod, Gulabrao Patil, Bharat Gogawale, Pratap Sarnaik, Prakash Abitkar, Ashish Jaiswal, Sanjay Shirsat and Yogesh Kadam also took oath.

Earlier, on December 5, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis took oath as Maharashtra Chief Minister, and Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde and NCP's Ajit Pawar took oath as Deputy CMs in Mumbai.

The Election Commission of India on November 23 announced the result of the Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024 in which the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance achieved a resounding victory and won 235 seats. The BJP became the single largest party with 132 seats, while the Shiv Sena and NCP won 57 and 41 seats, respectively.
