Colleges, schools closed todayThe schools, as well as colleges, are closed in Tiruvallur district today. It was announced by District Magistrate of Tiruvallur on November 10.

The official announcement of the Tiruvallur school closure is shared by the district collector Dr. Alby John Varghese. "Based on the rain forecast for tomorrow, a holiday declared for all the schools and colleges in Tiruvallur district for tomorrow," the District collector Tweeted.

Over 22 districts in the state have been asked to stay on alert as heavy rainfall is predicted. In light of the heavy rains in the state, the government has decided to shut all schools in colleges in Chennai and Puducherry.
