The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged victorious in the Rajasthan assembly polls and is set to form the government in the 200-member state Assembly, as the party has crossed the majority mark by securing 115 seats.
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje clinches victory in the Jhalrapatan constituency with a commanding lead of 53,193 votes, amassing a total of 1,38,831 votes. She triumphs over Congress candidate Ramlal, who secured 85,638 votes. Outgoing Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot emerges victorious from the Sardarpura seat with a substantial margin of 26,396 votes, defeating BJP candidate Mahendra Rathore.
In the Rajasthan Assembly polls, BJP leader and Union Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore emerges victorious in the Jhotwara constituency, securing 1,47,913 votes. He defeats Congress candidate Abhishek Choudhary by a substantial margin of 50,167 votes.
Kirodi Lal Meena secures a win in the Sawai Madhopur Assembly, defeating Congress candidate Danish Abrar by 22,510 votes.
Congress leader Sachin Pilot secures victory, defeating BJP candidate Ajit Singh Mehta by a margin of 29,475 votes. Rajasthan Assembly Speaker and senior Congress leader CP Joshi suffers defeat at the hands of BJP candidate Vishwaraj Singh Mewar by a margin of 7,504 votes in Nathdwara.
Meanwhile, in Chhattisgarh, the BJP has won 54 seats in the 90-member Assembly whereas Congress could only get 35 seats. BJP also won comprehensively in Madhya Pradesh. Today, the votes of the eight assembly constituencies in Sikar district will be counted. The counting will commence at Shri Kalyan Government Girls College. The count for Fatehpur will be 179,295 votes, for Laxmangarh it will be 212,701 votes, for Dantaramgarh it will be 217,205 votes, for Sikar it will be 210,570 votes, for Khandela it will be 200,268 votes, for Neemkathana it will be 193,801 votes, for Shrimadhopur it will be 192,865 votes, and postal ballots will also be counted.

All preparations for today's vote counting have been completed. Counting will start at 8 AM in the Polytechnic College. The counting will begin with the postal ballots. Following that, the EVMs of the 8 assembly constituencies in the district will be opened. Counting will take place in two rooms for each assembly constituency. The first result of the district will come from Ajmer South constituency.
