Speaking in Lok Sabha, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that the power of a no-confidence motion has brought Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Parliament today.

"None of us were thinking about this no-confidence motion. We were only demanding that PM Modi should come to the Parliament and speak on the Manipur issue. We were not demanding any BJP member to come to the Parliament, we were only demanding our PM to come," he said.

Finance Minister Sitharaman has announced that the government is procuring tomatoes from the regions where they are grown in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and other states. She said that the cooperative societies like NCCF, NAFED are distributing these tomatoes to Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan. She added that this process started on July 14 and will continue. She also said that in Delhi, mobile vans are selling tomatoes as outlets of NCCF, NAFED and Kendriya Bhandar.
