Kerala People's Party chief and actor Devan, actress Radha and former bureaucrat KV Balakrishnan joins BJP in presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Thiruvananthapuram.

The Prime Minister said that dream of 'sonar bangla' will be fulfilled. "Today, I have come here today to assure you of Bengal's development, to increase investment here, to protect Bengal's culture and to bring change," he said.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will walk for approximately three kilometers in protest of the fuel price hike and will address the party supporters at the Safdar Hashmi Chowk.

"I am confident that the AIADMK-BJP-PMK government will be formed in Tamil Nadu," HM Amit Shah said.

The Home Minister said, "Today, we have started our door to door campaign by visiting 11 homes here. Appeal to all to ensure the win of NDA candidate Pon Radhakrishnan from Kankyakumari Lok Sabha seat in by-polls."

As per the schedule of his visit to the state, HM Shah will launch Vijay Sankalp Mahasampark Abhiyan, a door-to-door campaign, at Suchindram Town in Kanyakumari.

HM Amit Shah was accompanied by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and supporters during his visit to the temple.

PM Narendra Modi said that more than 11 crore sanitary napkins are being sold at Janaushadhi centres. Supplements for pregnant women also made available under Janaushadh Janani'. With over 1000 Janaushadhi centres being run by women, the scheme empowers them.

"Today, we have 'Made in India' vaccines for our country and for the world. COVID19 vaccination is being done for free at government hospitals and at the cost of Rs 250 at private hospitals. I have also taken the first dose of the COVID vaccine," PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister said, "PM Janaushadhi Pariyojana is being run across the country for poor and middle-income families. This yojana is a medium of 'seva and rozgar' as it also provides employment opportunities to the youth. As part of the scheme, sanitary pads for girls available at Rs 2.5."

"Medicines are expensive, that's why we have the PM 'Jan Aushadhi ' yojana for the poor which saves their money. I urge people to buy medicines at affordable cost from 'Modi ki Dukaan' (as people like to call it)," Prime Minister Modi said.
