Points of discussion have been prepared. Discussions will be held on these points on December 5 and we hope that the agitation will end the same day: Som Prakash, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, told ANI after talks with farmer unions.

The farmers have clearly told the government that the situation is out of our control sources told Zee News. "Now explaining things to the farmers is out of our hands. This movement has been made a big mass movement by the farmers. The government will have to repeal the law only then the agitation will end."

Farmer leaders bring their own food at Vigyan Bhawan where the talk with the government is underway. A farmer leader says, "We are not accepting food or tea offered by the government. We have brought our own food".

The farmers called for food from a gurudwara langar, they did not eat the food provided by the government. 

The farmers staging a sit-in protest at the Delhi-Noida border said that if the dialogue with government fails today then the agitation of the farmers will intensify, the farmers say that they have made up their minds to bring their families and farm animals with them to the border as well.

The United Farmers Union has prepared a 10-page draft to give to the government.

Rapid Response Force has been deployed for the farmers protest. RRFs are deployed in highly sensitive locations. Eight companies of RRFs are in UP Police, presently. Mostly, the UP Police deploys PACs, but RRFs are deployed where conditions are more sensitive.

Farmer union leaders reach Vigyan Bhawan for the meeting with Centre. 

The farmer union leaders who are on the way to meet the Centre are carrying their written reply which the government had asked from them in the last meeting. The farmers have put their answers in a sequential manner which will be discussed in today's meeting. This is an exclusive copy of the letter.

The Ghaziabad Police has been increased its personnel on NH- 24 , while Ghaziabad Police is trying to mediate with the farmer leaders who are not ready to talk.

Gurugram Police issues traffic advisory as farmers' protest enters eighth day, check alternate routes here

The Gurugram Police issued a traffic advisory alerting the commuters to avoid certain routes while coming to the national capital on Thursday in the wake of the ongoing farmers` agitation in the national capital. In its advisory, the Gurugram Police said that traffic on certain routes leading to the national capital have been diverted due to the farmers’ agitation. 

On the Haryana side, Dhansa, Daurala, Kapashera, Rajokri (on NH-8), Bijwasan/Bajghera, Palam Vihar, and Dundahera borders are open. Gurugram police have diverted traffic near Kapadivas border, Bilaspur Chowk, Panchgaon Chowk, Manesar Chowk, Khedki Daula Toll Plaza, Hero Honda Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, and Shankar Chowk.  

It further alerted that traffic congestion has been reported on NH-48 near Iffco Chowk towards Jaipur due to a vehicle accident. 

Farmers are sitting on the road at NH-24, they have blocked the road causing a massive traffic jam.

Farmers have blocked the road on NH-24, they are sitting on the middle of the road. They are raising slogans against the government. This has increased the problems for the people who are on their way to office. People say that the government should listen to the farmers. 

The Indian Farmers Organisation have caused a jam at the the NH-24 Meerut Expressway on Thursday.

"On MSP issue, the government has no objection in giving a written assurance," says MoS for Commerce and industry Som Prakash in an exclusive interview to Zee News.

The 'mahapanchayat' will start at 12 o'clock at the UP border on Thursday. BKU leader Rakesh Tikat said they will participate in the meeting with Centre.

Farmers from Gujarat and Rajasthan have also reached Singhu border on Thursday morning.

Delhi-NCR Traffic alert: 

The Tikri, Jharoda and Jhatikra borders are closed for any traffic movement while Badusarai border is open only for two wheeler traffic.

The chilla border on Noida link road is closed for traffic due to farmers protests near Gautam Budh Dwar. People are advised to avoid Noida link road for going to Noida and use NH 24 and DND instead for Noida.

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh will meet Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence on Thursday, ahead of the talks between the Centre and farmer leaders over their agitation against the new farm laws. Sources said that Singh will hold deliberations with Shah on Thursday morning in Delhi in an effort to work out an amicable solution to the deadlock.

The All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC), representing about 95 lakh truckers and other entities, has extended its support to the farmers and threatened to halt operations in northern India from December 8 if the government fails to address concerns of the farming community.

The farmer unions are vehemently protesting the new farm laws which they fear will dismantle the minimum support price (MSP) system and corporatise farming. Thousands of farmers stayed put at various Delhi border points for the seventh consecutive day on Tuesday (December 2). Now to understand what MSP is and how it impacts the farmers read here.

Representatives of farmers organisations from other parts of the country will also be involved under Kisan Samyukt Morcha to decide the future course of action against the new farm laws.

"The Centre should call a special session of Parliament to repeal the new farm laws. We will continue our agitation till these laws are repealed," Krantikari Kisan Union president Darshan Pal told reporters after the meeting. Pal said that representatives of farmer organisations will give their point-wise objections to the Union ministers at a meeting scheduled to take place on Thursday.

Farmers from Punjab and Haryana will leave by bus from Singhu border for Vigyan Bhawan between 9 am-10 am today. The meeting is scheduled to take place with the government at 12 noon. Police have shifted the farmers agitating on the Noida border to the Dr Ambedkar Memorial Park in Noida. The farmers have said that if the results aren't achieved by 2 pm, then they will come to Delhi.

After the meeting held in Vigyan Bhawan with the government, all the farmer leaders can gather at the Singhu border in which the next strategy will be chalked out.
